$64 million in advertisment, so far…
Harper and the Conservatives have approved an estimated $64 million dollars in advertising this year so far. Here are just some of the wonderful things you are being sold.

$16 million - “Economic Action Plan” campaign (while cutting funding for the program)

$5 million - “Better Jobs” campaign

$8 million - To convince the population of cuts to old age security

$5 million - To promote “responsible resource development” which is the deceiving way of naming the Tory cut backs and restructuring of environment impact assessments.

$4.5 million - War of 1812 advertising

The actual money that is spend on advertising is always slightly different than the approved amount in the budget, and the Tories have consistently been over spending by 25%. Last year, 85.3 million in advertising was approved but in reality, they spent $136.3 million.
